Why would you play as a character of your opposite sex in a MMORPG?

If you have played (or plan on playing) a MMORPG, then why have you chosen (or why would you choose) to play as a character of your opposite sex?

I don't play many MMORPG games as the opposite sex, but i do play GunzNA as as a female because i find controls easier, but don't deny i am male. I guess it could be for different spells or abilities, or maybe they have insecurity in their masculinity/femininity and want to pretend?
